Keeping cash flow healthy in a small business

A business can show a profit on paper and still struggle to pay salaries at month end. The gap is usually cash flow: customers paying late, stock sitting on shelves or large expenses landing in the same month. A simple thirteen-week cash flow forecast shows when money will come in and go out, so there are fewer nasty surprises.

We help clients tighten the basics. Invoice promptly, agree clear payment terms and follow up overdue accounts on a set schedule. On the other side, negotiate supplier terms that match your own collection cycle. Keep a cash buffer where possible, and talk to your bank before you need an overdraft, not after.
