The Kirstenbosch Leather Rucksack is cut from full-grain tan leather and hand-stitched with waxed thread at our Bree Street workshop. The rounded flap folds over a brass buckle, and two side pockets hold a bottle or phone. Inside there is room for a laptop, a notebook and lunch, with a padded back panel for long walks.
Carry it to the office, a lecture or a weekend hike around the mountain. The padded leather straps spread the weight and soften as the hide ages.
Each rucksack is made to order, so small marks in the leather are part of its character. With simple care the colour deepens over the years and the seams hold firm.
