Good study habits matter more than long hours. Start by studying in short blocks of thirty minutes with a five minute break in between. Your mind stays fresh and you remember more.
Test yourself instead of only reading. Cover your notes and try to explain the topic out loud. Go back over difficult sections the next day and again after a week.
Sleep, water and a proper breakfast also help. Our student support team, led by Nomvula Zulu, can share more study tips with you.
Plan your study week
Write down your tests and assignment dates at the start of each month. Break big tasks into small steps and tick them off. This keeps you calm and stops last minute stress before exams.
Study with others
Join a small study group with classmates. Explaining a topic to a friend is one of the best ways to learn it. Meet on campus or online once a week to share notes and questions.
