How to Study Faster and Remember More

Studying harder is not always the answer. Studying smarter is. Sipho Mthembu, our coding instructor, tells learners to split their work into short blocks of twenty-five minutes with a rest in between.
Put your phone on silent while you study. Then write down what you remember without looking at your notes.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Nelson MandelaGet enough sleep too. Your brain stores what you learned while you rest, so a good night helps more than extra hours with the books.
Short sessions work best
Try twenty-five minutes of focus, then a five minute break. Stand up, drink water and stretch. Come back and go on with the next topic. Many learners at the hub find that three short sessions after school teach them more than one tired evening of reading.
Test yourself often
Close your book and write down everything you remember. Check what you missed and try again the next day. Quizzes in our courses are made for this. Explaining a lesson to a sibling or friend is another good way to make it stay.

Good advice for learners and teachers. I like how simple the steps are, especially for people studying on a phone with little data. Well done!
