Matric and Grade 9 exams feel big, but a plan makes them smaller. Start eight weeks before, list every subject and mark the paper dates on your wall.
Study the hardest subject first, while you still have energy. Do old exam papers under real time limits. Our learner support team at Ekasi Learn Hub helps learners in Khayelitsha set up simple study timetables.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Nelson MandelaSleep well the night before, eat breakfast and arrive early. Bring two pens and your ID. Read each question twice before you write.
Plan your study week
Split your week by subject. Give Maths and Physical Sciences more time if they are hard for you. Study in short blocks of forty minutes, then rest for ten. Put your phone on silent so your mobile data and your focus both last longer.
Use free resources online
Past papers and memos are free to download. Watch a video lesson, then try the questions without looking at the answers. Join a study group at Harare Library if you prefer learning with friends.
