How to build your skills step by step

Start with one skill that can earn you money or help you at work, like Excel, English or a simple website. Study in short sessions, write down what you learn and practise the same day. Ask your tutor when something is unclear. Small habits, kept up each week, add up faster than long nights before a deadline.

What learning can do for you

A finished course gives you a certificate, but it also gives you confidence. Many learners in Khayelitsha have found part-time work, started a small business or helped their children with homework after completing a course. Learning close to home, at a price you can manage, makes that first step easier.
