What is Ekasi Learn Hub?

Ekasi Learn Hub is an eLearning hub in Khayelitsha. We offer affordable online courses you can study on your phone, at your own pace, with support from our tutors.

Why study online with Ekasi Learn Hub?

Learning online has many advantages. You can study at home on your phone, at any hour. You save taxi fare, learn at your own pace, repeat lessons you missed and earn a certificate to show employers. Many of our courses are free, and the rest are priced for township families.

Why does learning together matter so much?

Learners who study together stay motivated and finish more courses. At Ekasi Learn Hub, many of our learners join a WhatsApp study group, share notes and help each other when a lesson is hard.

Our tutors encourage this. You can ask questions, share what you have learned and celebrate when someone passes. Learning with neighbours also saves data, because one person can download a lesson and others can discuss it at the hub. Friends who study together often share job leads too, and that helps the whole community in Khayelitsha grow stronger.

Do you have free courses?

Yes. Many of our courses are free, so you can start one and see how we teach before you pay for anything. If you buy a paid course and decide within 30 days that it is not right for you, you can ask for a refund under our refund policy.

All we ask is that you tell us what went wrong, so that our team can help.

What kind of support do you offer?

All learners get access to start-up guides, course notes, our WhatsApp study group and the help desk at the Khayelitsha hub. Please see our Support Policy for more details.

What technical support do you provide?

We help mostly by WhatsApp and email, because most learners study on their phones. Tell us if a lesson will not load and we will sort it out with you.
