Caring for your hair does not stop when you leave the salon chair. A few simple habits at home, between visits, keep your colour fresh, your cut neat and your scalp happy until your next appointment with us.

Wash less than you think you need to. Washing every day fades colour and dries out your scalp faster than almost anything else.

Stretch your washes to every second or third day where you can. On the days in between, a quick brush with a soft bristle brush spreads natural oil down the hair and keeps ends looking healthy.

Heat styling is one of the biggest causes of dry, brittle ends. If you blow dry or straighten often, a heat protect spray before you start makes a real difference.

Let hair air dry when you can, and keep your dryer on a lower heat setting. Your ends will thank you, and your colour will hold longer between appointments.

Protecting your hair while you sleep matters more than most people think.

A silk or satin pillowcase stops hair from rubbing against cotton fibres overnight, which is one of the easiest ways to prevent breakage and frizz.

A loose braid before bed helps too, especially if your hair is long.

Skin needs the same steady attention. A gentle cleanser morning and night keeps your face calm between facials.

Follow with a light moisturiser and always wear sunscreen during the day, even when it is cloudy. This alone will keep your skin looking fresh for weeks.

Little Habits

Keep a small kit at home: a good shampoo and conditioner for your hair type, a wide tooth comb and a heat protect spray.

These few items cover most of what your hair needs day to day, without cluttering your bathroom shelf.

If you are ever unsure what suits your hair, ask us at your next appointment. We would rather you ask than guess.

None of this replaces your salon visit, but it keeps your hair and skin in good shape between them.

Small, steady habits make the biggest difference of all.
