A Cable Built to Last Longer
The Cygnett Armoured USB-C to USB-C cable is made for people who are tired of replacing frayed chargers every few months. The outer layer is tightly braided, and the connectors are reinforced where most cables usually split. It supports USB-C Power Delivery, so it can fast charge modern phones and power many USB-C laptops and tablets. It also moves data, which is handy for backing up photos to a computer. At R799 it costs more than a basic cable, but it is designed to survive bags, car consoles and daily plugging in.
Tough Build
Cygnett wraps the cable in a thick braided jacket and adds strong strain relief at both ends. It bends easily, coils neatly into a bag, and does not tangle like cheap rubber cables tend to do.
Fast Charging for Every USB-C Device
Use one cable for your phone, tablet, laptop and even a game controller. Pair it with a good USB-C wall charger for the fastest charging speeds at home.
Charging speed depends on three things: the cable, the charger and the device itself. This cable supports high-wattage Power Delivery, but your laptop will only charge at full speed if the wall charger can supply enough power. Check the rating printed on the packaging and match it with your charger. Data speeds also vary. Many USB-C charging cables transfer files at USB 2.0 speed, which is fine for photos and documents but slower for big video files. If you need very fast transfers to an external drive, a dedicated USB 3 or Thunderbolt cable is a better choice for the job.
The braiding protects the cable from normal wear, but it is not a licence to abuse it. Avoid sharp bends right at the plug, do not pull it out by the cord, and keep it away from car doors and pets that like to chew.
This cable comes new and sealed with a full South African warranty from Cygnett, so you are covered if anything goes wrong.
Unopened items can be returned within 30 days, and standard courier delivery costs R150 to main centres nationwide.
