01.
SMALL CAPE RUNS
The first rinse tells you everything: good cloth softens and settles, while cheap cloth simply loses its shape
02.
COTTON ONLY
Cotton, linen and fine lambswool photographed on the cutting table before any of it was cut into a garment
03.
STUDIO CAPSULE
Chalk marks, a steel rule and shears sharpened more times than anyone can remember.
Linen shirting cut slowly in town
We cut every pattern by hand, laying the cloth flat overnight so it settles before the shears go near it.
Cotton, linen and lambswool only.
Small runs of thirty to fifty.
Cut and sewn in Cape Town.
Offcuts go back into totes and pocket bags rather than into a bin.
