SOURCED FROM ITALIAN MILLS

Acetate reaches us in flat sheets from a mill that has pressed cotton based plastic for fifty years. We choose the pattern, cut the fronts, and file each rim by hand.

Cut, filed and polished by hand

Each front is cut from a solid acetate block, then filed, tumbled and polished until the edges feel soft.

  • Hand cut fronts and temples.
  • Riveted hinges, set by hand.
  • Tumble polished for three days.

Titanium wire is bent on a workshop jig, brazed, blasted and finished in matte, about eighteen grams.
