Choosing a colour palette for your home

Choosing colours for a whole home can feel daunting, so we suggest starting small. Pick one main neutral for walls and large pieces, a secondary colour for textiles or a feature wall, and one or two accents for cushions, art and accessories. Repeating these colours from room to room helps the whole house feel connected.

Light changes colour, so test samples on different walls and look at them in the morning and evening. North-facing rooms in the Winelands get warm sunlight, which suits cooler tones, while south-facing rooms can handle warmer shades. Bring a paint chip or fabric swatch into the store and we will help you match pieces to it.
