Medical aid and cash consultations at our practice

Welbedacht Medical sees patients on most medical aid schemes as well as private patients paying cash. Because schemes and plans differ, the amount your medical aid pays for a consultation can vary. Some plans pay from savings, others from a day-to-day benefit, and some network plans require you to use a nominated GP for full cover.

Please bring your medical aid card and ID to your first visit so we can confirm your details. If you are unsure about your cover, phone your scheme before your appointment or ask our reception team to help. Private patients are welcome to ask about consultation fees when booking, so you know what to expect beforehand.
