SOME WORDS ABOUT US

People Who Actually Use This Gear

We love what we do

Kampkloof started because we wanted gear we could trust on our own trips, not just gear to sell to other people.

Our working process

We test it, we pack it, we send it, and we are still here if something goes wrong out on your trip.

SIMPLE, HONEST GEAR

About our shop

Run by people who camp every chance they get.

Kampkloof began with a few friends who kept lending each other tents and stoves for weekend trips into the Cederberg and the Drakensberg. We got tired of borrowing, so we started buying gear that actually held up, and then helping others do the same.

These days we still pick every item ourselves, test it on real trips, and only keep it in the shop if we would carry it ourselves.

Our company history and facts

There is nothing like the quiet of a campsite once everyone has gone to sleep and the only sound left is the wind moving through camp.

How We Choose Our Gear

Good gear should disappear into the background of a trip, so you can focus on the fire, the food and the people around you.
