Why good Wi-Fi matters for a smart home
Most smart devices and many security cameras rely on your home Wi-Fi to work. If the signal is weak in parts of the house or garden, devices drop offline, cameras stop recording to the cloud and app controls become unreliable. Before adding lots of smart products, it is worth making sure your network can handle them.
We check signal strength around your property and, where needed, install mesh Wi-Fi or wired access points to cover dead spots. Outdoor cameras sometimes work better with a cable connection. Keeping your router and fibre equipment on backup power during load shedding also means cameras and alarms can still send alerts to your phone.
