Planning a CCTV system for your home
A CCTV system is only useful if the cameras are pointed at the right places and the footage is clear enough to identify someone. Before choosing cameras, walk around your property and note the entry points: gates, driveways, front and back doors, and any side passages where someone could approach without being seen from the street.
We then match camera types to each spot, such as wide-angle cameras for yards and narrower views for gates where faces and number plates matter. Night vision, recording storage and remote viewing on your phone are worth discussing early. A well-planned system often needs fewer cameras than people expect, because each one covers a clear purpose.
