Step Up From Your Phone Camera
The Canon EOS R50 is a small, light mirrorless camera that makes a big jump in quality from a phone. It has an APS-C sensor, so photos show more detail, better colour and a soft background blur that phones struggle to match. Autofocus tracks faces and eyes quickly, which helps with kids, pets and moving subjects. The kit includes a compact zoom lens that covers everyday shooting, from landscapes to portraits. It records sharp 4K video too, and the flip-out screen makes selfies and vlogs easy. Guided menus help beginners learn as they go.
Compact Design
The R50 is one of Canon's smallest EOS bodies, with a comfortable grip and easy buttons. It fits into a small bag, so it comes along on trips instead of staying at home in a drawer.
Made for Everyday Creators
Shoot family events, holiday photos and short videos for social media. Share pictures straight to your phone over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth with Canon's free app.
South Africa is a wonderful place to own a good camera. From the Garden Route to the Kruger, you will want photos that look as good as the view, and the R50 helps you get there without complicated settings. Auto modes handle tricky light at sunset, while manual controls are there when you are ready to learn more. Spare batteries are a smart buy for long safari days, since you cannot always charge in the bush. Joltbox supplies it new and sealed with full SA warranty, and you can pay by card, EFT or monthly instalments that suit your budget.
The kit lens and bundled extras can differ by stock batch. Check the specification tab on this page before ordering, or send us an email at info@example.co.za with any questions about lenses, memory cards or accessories for this camera.
Image quality depends on light, lens choice and camera settings, so results will differ from shot to shot.
Memory cards and camera bags are sold separately. Ask us about fast SD cards that suit 4K video recording.
