Description
Faster Loading for Your PC
The Samsung 990 PRO is a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD that gives desktops, gaming PCs and many laptops a big speed boost. It uses Samsung's own controller and V-NAND memory, and it is one of the fastest drives in its class for loading games, booting Windows and opening large files. The 1TB size gives you room for your operating system, apps and a good selection of games. It fits in a standard M.2 slot, so there are no cables to route. Samsung Magician software lets you check drive health, update firmware and watch temperatures with a few clicks.
M.2 Format
The 990 PRO is a slim M.2 2280 stick about the size of a stick of gum. It slots straight onto the motherboard, keeping your case tidy and leaving room for better airflow around other parts.
Speed Where You Feel It
Games load faster, Windows starts quickly and big video files open without long waits. It also works as a storage upgrade in a PlayStation 5 console.
Upgrading to an NVMe SSD is one of the best value changes you can make to an older or new PC. South African gamers with large game libraries will notice shorter loading screens straight away, and creators will spend less time waiting for projects to open. The drive is rated for heavy use over many years, and Samsung has a strong record for reliability. If your PC restarts after a power cut, a fast SSD also gets you back to work sooner after load-shedding. Joltbox supplies it new and sealed with full SA warranty, and you can pay by card, EFT or monthly instalments.
Real speeds depend on your motherboard, PCIe slot and cooling. Check the specification tab on this page before ordering, or send us an email at info@example.co.za with any questions about whether this drive will fit and work well in your PC.
Transfer speeds depend on file size, drive temperature and your system, so they will differ from task to task.
Screws, heatsinks and cloning software may not be included. Ask us which heatsink suits your system, or if your board has one.
