Why we make in small runs
Thirty to sixty pieces at a time means that if a collar sits wrong or a seam puckers, we hear about it the same week and fix the pattern before the next cut. A factory running thousands finds out a year later, when there is a warehouse full of them.
It also means we buy cloth in sensible amounts and almost nothing ends up on a markdown rail.
