A hand-woven basket made from natural seagrass with cotton rope handles. At 40 cm across and 35 cm high it holds blankets, toys or firewood. Weighs about 1.2 kg. Each one varies slightly in colour, from pale straw to green.
HANDWOVEN SEAGRASS
Each Woven Seagrass Basket is made by hand from dried seagrass, coiled tightly around a firm base. It stands 35 cm high and 40 cm across, big enough for spare blankets, toys or firewood. Two cotton rope handles make it easy to carry.
No two baskets are exactly alike, because the grass varies from pale straw to soft green. That is part of the charm.
EASY CARE
Dust it with a soft brush or the vacuum nozzle. If it gets wet, dry it in the shade. Keep it off damp floors in a Cape winter, as seagrass can mark if it stays wet.
