HANDMADE IN CAPE TOWN

Every upper starts flat on the bench. We trace the pattern by hand, cut around the natural marks in the hide, then skive the edges thin so the seams sit smooth against your foot.

01.

CUT BY HAND

Hand-cut uppers, waxed linen stitching and a sole that can be replaced twice before the leather gives up

02.

FULL-GRAIN HIDE

Stitching comes next, a waxed thread pulled through both sides at once, locking the seam for good.

03.

LEATHER BOOTS

One hide, one knife, and a pattern moved around every scar. Nothing is rushed here.

Leather cut and stitched by hand

Cutting the upper is the quiet part of the day. The hide lies flat, the pattern moves around the scars, and the knife follows the grain.

  • Full-grain hide, cut by hand.
  • Pattern placed around marks.
  • Two pairs per cut.

Offcuts go into laces, pull tabs and patches for school shoes.
