Locally made beeswax and plant oil balm that nourishes hemp and cork uppers and adds a light layer of weather protection.
HEMP UPPERS
Our hemp comes from farms in the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape that care for the soil. The fibre is strong, light and naturally cool. It takes dye well, so the colours stay soft and earthy. Hemp also gets better with age, which is why old pairs look so good.
We line the upper with recycled cotton. It keeps the shape and stays gentle on bare feet in summer.
SOLE MATERIALS
Our soles are cut from natural rubber and cork. They grip wet rock pools and slippery tar. The rubber is tapped from trees without harm, and the cork is harvested by hand. Both are light and flex easily.
