Moving a class online is easier when you start small. Pick one subject and one group of learners. Test it for two weeks before you add more.
At Boekrak Learning, our lecturers in Stellenbosch begin with a short video, a printable worksheet and a WhatsApp group for questions.
Teach what a learner needs this week, not everything at once. ― Thandiwe Mokoena, Head of LearningKeep lessons short, share notes that work on a phone, and always give learners a way to ask for help. Our support team is happy to guide your staff through the first week.
Plan lessons around your learners
Ask your class what data and devices they have. Many learners share one phone at home, so send low-data notes and give them a few days to finish each task. Short lessons of ten to fifteen minutes work best.
Keep in touch every week
A weekly message from the teacher keeps people going. Use email or WhatsApp, share one clear goal, and answer questions within a day. Learners stay on track when they know someone is paying attention.

Helpful read for students and lecturers alike. The points on mobile learning in our schools matched what I see every day. Well done.
