Thandiwe Mokoena
Director of Kennispunt Academy
Hi! I’m Thandiwe. I’m the director of Kennispunt Academy in Menlo Park, with a serious love for teaching. I spent many years in Pretoria classrooms before starting the centre, where I have helped hundreds of learners pass maths and science. I am also a proud mother of two.
Years in Classrooms
Before starting Kennispunt Academy, Thandiwe taught Mathematics at two Pretoria high schools and coached matric learners for the Pretoria Maths Olympiad. Active in school and community affairs, she later ran our Grade 12 revision programme in Menlo Park. After finishing her classes, 94% of her learners passed Mathematics with a university exemption.
I have since focused on bringing my classroom experience to an online setting. In 2021 I launched our Grade 12 Maths Paper 2 Final Exam Revision course, which has become one of the most popular courses at Kennispunt Academy. I was also voted Kennispunt Academy Tutor of the Year 2025.Mathematics
I have spent years working out the best way to teach maths and science in a small classroom, and I’m really happy to finally share it with your child.
I can confidently say that our exam revision classes are some of the most thorough in Pretoria.
