Our Latest Work

WE CUT OUT PLASTIC

Our delivery boxes used to be lined with plastic film. We swapped it for paper padding and tape that can go straight into a home compost bin.

PROJECT WITH DESCRIPTION EXAMPLE

We looked at every box leaving our store and asked what plastic we could drop.

Tape, bubble wrap and shrink film were the first to go.

We now pack glass bottles in shredded paper instead of foam.

Bread and dry goods travel in reusable cotton bags that customers can return.

What changed for customers

Orders look plainer but open just as safely, and there is far less to throw away.

FAQs

How this can be done for me?

If you order online, tell us in the notes and we will leave out extra padding where we can. In store, bring a box or bag and we will pack straight into it.

Can I return the packaging?

Yes, bring boxes, paper and cotton bags back to the store and we will reuse them for the next order. It saves material and keeps it out of the bin.

Porta nec aenean pellentesqu

We still use a little plastic where nothing else keeps food fresh, like for cheese and some dairy. We are working through those one product at a time.

Will my order look different?

Only on the outside. Boxes are plainer, bags are cloth instead of plastic, and padding is paper instead of foam. What is inside is exactly the same as before.

TACITIRS LOBORTIS

No bubble wrap or plastic tape leaves our packing room anymore.

PAPER PADDING

Glass bottles travel wrapped in shredded paper instead of plastic bubble wrap.

CLOTH BAGS

Bread and dry goods now travel home in washable cotton bags.

REUSE SCHEME

Bring your packaging back and we will use it again.
