Smart desk setup for people who work from home
Working from home means your desk does a lot of jobs. It holds your laptop, your coffee and your calls. A small Bluetooth speaker earns its place here. Put it at the back corner of the desk, a little off to one side, and music fills the room without crowding your screen. Keep it away from the monitor so the sound stays clean.
Pair it once with your laptop and your phone, and it switches between them on its own. Keep the volume low during calls and let the music carry you through the long afternoons.
Come and listen
Hear the speakers in person at our Claremont store and ask us anything about setup.
Entry is free, but seats are limited, so message us on WhatsApp on 082 555 0155 to book.
Cables are the first thing to tidy. Use a Knoppie Wireless Charging Stand for your phone, and run one USB Wall Charger for everything else. A speaker that charges from the same plug as your lamp saves you a socket and a lot of fuss. Check the battery before a long day, because most of our speakers last a full working day on a short charge.
Keeping power simple
Load shedding makes a good case for a battery speaker. When the router drops, a charged speaker keeps your downloaded music playing and the house calm. Charge it fully the night before a scheduled outage and keep a spare cable in the desk drawer. It is a small habit that keeps the day moving.
Our tip from the Claremont shop: set the speaker on a firm surface, leave a hand's width of space behind it, and keep it off thick cloth. The bass sounds tighter, and you will not need to turn it up as high.
