Fast Storage for Photos and Video
The Samsung PRO Plus memory card is a fast and reliable way to add storage to a camera, drone, phone or games console. It is rated U3 and V30, which means it can record smooth 4K video without dropping frames. The A2 rating helps apps load quickly when you run them from the card on an Android phone or tablet. Read speeds are fast enough to move a full day of holiday photos to your laptop in minutes, not hours. It is a sensible upgrade when your device keeps warning you that storage is full.
Built Tough
Samsung designs the PRO Plus to cope with rough conditions. It is protected against water, extreme temperatures, magnets, X-rays and knocks, so your files are safer on a mountain hike, at the beach or on a long road trip.
Record 4K Without Missing a Moment
Shoot 4K video on an action camera or drone and keep recording while the card writes. No stuttering, no gaps and no lost clips at the key moment.
Card speed depends on the device you use it in. Many phones and cameras cannot reach the top read speed printed on the packaging, and that is normal. To get the fastest transfers to a computer, use a card reader that supports high-speed microSD cards. Some packs include an SD adapter so the card fits in full-size cameras and laptops. Before using a new card, format it in the device you plan to use it with. Always keep a backup of important photos, because no storage is perfect and memory cards can be lost or damaged by accident.
The usable capacity shown on your device will be slightly less than the number printed on the card. Part of the space is used for formatting and system files, and computers count storage in a different way from the companies that make cards.
Check which card sizes your device supports before you buy, especially if you use older cameras, dashcams or games consoles.
The card comes new and sealed with a Samsung warranty and ships by courier to any address in South Africa.
