Thin Enough to Forget It Folds

The Honor Magic V2 is one of the thinnest book-style foldable phones you can buy. Closed, it feels close to a normal smartphone in the pocket, which is rare for a device that opens into a large tablet-like screen. Honor used a titanium alloy hinge and careful design to keep weight down without making it feel fragile. Inside you get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and a big 5,000 mAh battery, so it lasts through a full working day of email, maps and video calls. Both screens are bright and crisp.

Slim Fold

When it is folded, the Magic V2 is barely thicker than a regular phone. Opened, it feels light for its size. The purple back has a soft sheen that catches the light without looking flashy or cheap.

Two Screens That Work Well Together

Use the outer screen for quick calls and texts. Open the phone when you want to read, edit a spreadsheet or watch a match on a bigger display.

The Honor Magic V2 is built for everyday life, but like every foldable it needs a little extra care. Treat it gently around water and dust, and keep it away from rain, pools and sandy beaches. The folding screen has a factory protector that should stay in place. Avoid pressing on the inner display with pens, keys or fingernails. A small crease in the middle is normal on foldables and is easier to see at an angle. Accidental and liquid damage are not covered by warranty, so a good case is well worth adding to your order at checkout.

Screen sizes are measured diagonally and include the rounded corners, so the real viewing area is slightly smaller. The inner display is close to eight inches when open, which is roughly the size of a small tablet and great for reading on the train.

Honor phones run MagicOS on top of Android, with the usual Google apps and the Play Store included.

Your Magic V2 ships new and sealed with a full SA warranty, and delivery is free because it costs more than R5,000.
