The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra brings back the famous flip phone, now with a folding screen and modern power inside. Closed, it is small enough for a shirt pocket. Open it and you get a tall, smooth display that is great for scrolling and video. The big talking point is the 3.6 inch outer screen. It is large enough to reply to messages, check maps, take selfies with the main cameras and even run full apps without opening the phone. A Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip keeps everything running quickly all day.
Pocket Friendly
Folded, the Razr 40 Ultra is a neat square that fits into small bags and jeans pockets. The hinge closes flat with no gap, and the soft back finish gives a good grip when you flip it open.
Do More Without Opening the Phone
The outer screen runs WhatsApp, Spotify, Google Maps and more. Check a message, skip a song or snap a selfie without flipping the phone open at all.
The Razr 40 Ultra has an IP52 rating. That means it offers light protection against dust and can handle some water splashes, such as light rain or a spilled drop of coffee. It is not designed to go underwater, so keep it away from pools, baths and the sea. Folding phones have moving parts, and sand or grit in the hinge can cause problems, so avoid putting it in a pocket full of beach sand. Do not charge the phone when it is wet. The warranty does not cover damage from liquids, drops or pressure on the folding screen.
Screen sizes are measured diagonally as if each display were a perfect rectangle. The rounded corners and camera cut outs mean the visible area is slightly smaller. The folding inner screen may show a faint crease, which is normal for this design.
Some apps need to be enabled in the settings menu before they will run on the outer screen.
The phone comes new and sealed with a full SA warranty, and you can pay it off in easy instalments when you check out.
