The iPhone 17 Is Here

Apple launched the iPhone 17 in September 2025, and it is the best standard iPhone in years. The big news is the display. It now refreshes smoothly like the Pro models, with an always on option and higher brightness for reading outside in harsh summer sun. Inside is the A19 chip, which handles games, photo edits and daily apps with ease. The dual camera system uses two 48MP sensors, so ultra wide shots look much sharper than before. The front is covered with tougher Ceramic Shield 2 glass that resists scratches better.

Fresh Colours

The iPhone 17 keeps a clean aluminium frame with a matte glass back. Pick from Gray, Green, Pink, White or a bright Yellow, and see the real colours in our Loop Street showroom before you buy.

Take Control of the Camera

Camera Control sits on the side. Press it to open the camera, press again to shoot, and slide along it to adjust settings without touching the screen.

The new front camera uses Center Stage, so group selfies can switch to a wider view without you turning the phone sideways. It also keeps you centred during video calls while you walk around the kitchen. Battery life is better than the iPhone 16, which matters when load-shedding stretches out a long evening. The phone charges over USB-C and supports MagSafe and Qi2 wireless chargers, several of which we stock. Like earlier models it is rated for splash, water and dust resistance, but that protection can wear over time and liquid damage is not covered by warranty. Dry it fully before charging.

Screen size is measured on the diagonal of a standard rectangle, and because the corners are rounded, the actual viewing area is a little smaller. The size in our options is the group used for filtering in our store, so check Apple's figures.

Every iPhone 17 at Joltbox is new, sealed and sold with full South African warranty, usually for 12 months.

Joltbox is an independent retailer, not an official Apple Store, and prices may change without notice as stock arrives.
