What fabric weight actually means
Fabric weight is measured in grams per square metre. A light summer shirting sits around 120 gsm, a good everyday tee around 180, and a heavier winter jersey knit can be 300 or more. The number tells you how the cloth will drape and whether you will see through it in daylight.
We list gsm on every page because it is the most honest way to describe a garment you cannot touch before buying.
