Hamper basics
Every hamper we pack starts with a sturdy base, either a crate or a lined basket. We fill the gaps with shredded paper so nothing shifts on the road. Fragile baubles are wrapped in tissue and sit on top, where they are easy to see and safe from knocks. Treats go in the middle, and the card goes in last, tucked under the ribbon so it is the first thing seen.
Local flavours
We love working with small makers around KwaZulu-Natal. Our shelves hold preserves, biscuits, rusks and sweets made close to home, and many of them are packed in tins that can be kept afterwards. Wrapping tips
Good wrapping is mostly patience. Cut your paper a little bigger than you think you need, fold the edges neatly and use double sided tape so no tape shows. Finish with natural string and a sprig or a tag. If you would rather not do it yourself, bring your gift to our shop in Pinetown and we will wrap it for you while you wait, usually within ten minutes.
