What are the Benefits of Cashmere for Babies?
Cashmere gets a lot of attention for baby knits, and it is genuinely soft. It is also delicate. Very fine fibres pill quickly, felt in warm water and lose their shape if you hang them wet. Before you buy any luxury knit for a small baby, it helps to know how much care it needs.
We do not stock cashmere. Our winter knits, like the Karoo Knot Beanie and Winter Bear Jumper, are merino wool and organic cotton, which handle a cool hand wash and flat drying far better. If you do own something finer, wash it at 30 degrees, no fabric softener, and dry it flat.
