How to choose a sleeping bag for your little one

Wigglebee blog 3 opt

Cape Town winters are damp and Johannesburg nights get cold and dry, so one sleeping bag rarely suits the whole year. The idea is simple. A bag keeps a baby covered without loose blankets, and you choose the warmth rating to match the room temperature rather than the season on the calendar.

For a room around 20 degrees, a lighter cotton bag over a short-sleeve vest is usually enough. Nearer 16 degrees, add a long-sleeve layer or choose a warmer merino option. The neck and armholes should be snug so your baby cannot slip down inside, and the hem should leave room for kicking.
