School shoes that survive a whole year
Children destroy shoes at the toe first, scuffing them along tarmac and dragging them off the back of bicycles. A reinforced toe cap and a stitched sole handle that far better than a moulded shoe, which tends to split where the sole bends and cannot be repaired once it does.
Buy with a thumb of growing room, not two, and check the fit each term. Too much space causes as many problems as too little.
