Many people ask us whether an online course is really worth the time. In our experience it is, when the lecturer is local and the lessons are practical.
Start small. Pick one short course, set aside an hour a few evenings a week, and finish it before you start another.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Nelson MandelaOur students use what they learn to apply for jobs, start side businesses and help their families. Take the first lesson this week and see how it feels.
How to improve your study skills
Set a regular time, switch off notifications and write down one question after each lesson. Bring that question to your lecturer. Short, steady sessions work better than one long night before a deadline, and they use less data too.
The positive power of education
A good course gives you a skill an employer can see. Many Boekrak students have moved into new jobs or started small businesses in Stellenbosch and beyond. Learning also builds confidence, and that carries over into every part of life.

Good article for teachers. The advice on moving lessons online is clear and easy to follow. I will try it with my Grade 9 learners.

Helpful read for students and lecturers alike. The points on mobile learning in our schools matched what I see every day. Well done.
