A Guide for Teachers Selling Courses Online

Many teachers in Gauteng already explain hard ideas well in a classroom. Selling a course online uses the same skill. Pick one topic you know well, such as Grade 12 maths or classroom English, and record short lessons you can finish over a weekend.

Price your course fairly in Rand, add a free first lesson and ask a colleague to test it on a phone before you publish on Kursusmark. Our support team in Fourways can go through your listing with you and help you fix anything that confuses a new learner.

Plan lessons that stay short

Break your topic into lessons of five to ten minutes. Learners on mobile data finish short videos far more often. Start each lesson with one clear goal and end it with one small task they can do at home.

Price and publish with care

Most first courses on Kursusmark sell between R450 and R1,450. Write a plain description, show a sample lesson and answer questions quickly. Learners trust instructors who reply within a day.
