Balancing Work, Family and Part-Time Study

Studying while you hold down a job and look after a family takes honest planning. You do not need hours every evening. Start with one course and one weekly goal. Tell your family when you will be studying so they can help protect that time.

How to find time that is really yours

Look at your week and find two or three pockets of thirty minutes. Early mornings, lunch breaks and after the kids are asleep often work best. Write the slots in your diary and treat them like any other appointment.

Keep going when life gets busy

Some weeks you will miss a session. That is fine. Do a short ten-minute lesson instead of skipping completely, and ask our student support team for help if you fall behind. Most learners finish, one lesson at a time.
