When a screen repair is worth it

A screen repair is worth it when the body and buttons still work and the phone or laptop still meets your needs. If the repair costs much less than a replacement, and the device still runs well, fixing the screen is the smart choice.

We check the frame and internal parts first, then give you honest advice before any work starts. Sometimes a replacement makes more sense, and we will tell you so.

Worth fixing

A screen repair is worth it when the rest of the phone is still healthy. If the battery holds charge, the port works and the camera is sharp, new glass gives you a phone that feels new again for a fraction of what a replacement costs. Age matters too. A two year old phone with a cracked screen is usually worth fixing. One already struggling with battery life may not be.

Hidden damage

Before we quote a screen repair, we check what is underneath. Water marks on the connector, a swollen battery or a bent frame change the price, and sometimes change our advice completely. We open every device first. If the damage goes further than the glass, we tell you before we order parts, so you are never paying for a repair that will not last.

Our guarantee

Every screen repair we do comes with a six month guarantee on the part and the fitting. If the new screen develops a fault that is not caused by a drop or water, we sort it out at no extra cost. This is why we only fit screens we trust, even when a cheaper part is available. A screen that fails again in a month costs you more than the one fixed properly the first time.

Cursus aliquam

Once your screen is repaired, a screen protector is the cheapest way to keep it safe. We also check the seal around the new glass before you leave, so dust and moisture cannot get in. A fresh drop after the repair is treated as a new job, but the fitting itself stays covered for six months from the day you collect it.

Still deciding between a repair and a new phone? Bring it in and let us have a look. We will check the battery health and the general condition first, and give you an honest answer, even if that answer is to save your money for something new. A repair usually costs a small fraction of a replacement and gets you back to normal the same day. We would rather fix a screen properly than sell you a repair that was not worth doing.
