Morning routines with your smart speaker, from coffee to traffic updates
Every morning in our Claremont workshop starts the same way. The kettle goes on, someone asks the Knoppie for the news, and the first playlist of the day fills the room. It is a small ritual, but it sets the pace for everything that follows. Nobody has to wipe their hands to change a song.
At home, the speaker lives on the kitchen counter next to the coffee machine. Ask it for the weather, the traffic on the N2 or a ten minute timer for the plunger. Splash resistance helps when mornings get messy. It keeps playing through load shedding on its battery, so the day still starts with music.
Morning playlists
Start with the basics. Put the speaker where you spend the most time in the morning, usually near the kettle or the bathroom door. Connect it once over Bluetooth and your phone will remember it every day after that.
Next, build a simple routine. One playlist for getting dressed, one for breakfast and a quiet one for the drive. Ask for the traffic report before you leave and you will know whether to take the M3 or Main Road. Small habits like these add up to a calmer start.

Many of our customers tell us the same thing. They bought the Knoppie for music, then found they used it for reminders, timers and the news. It charges quickly on the wireless stand and lasts a full day on a single charge. If you have questions about setup, send us a message and we will walk you through it.
Every speaker we sell is tested in our Claremont workshop before it goes into a box. We check the Bluetooth range, the battery and the sound at low and high volume. Anything that does not meet our standard goes back for another look. You can collect from us at 4 Main Road or have your order delivered anywhere in South Africa within a few working days.
