Description
A Small Charger With Serious Power
The Cygnett PowerMaxx 70W is a wall charger for the devices you use every day. It supplies up to 70W through USB-C Power Delivery, which is plenty for a phone, a tablet and many thin laptops such as a MacBook Air. GaN technology keeps the body small and cooler than older chargers, so it will not hog space on a crowded wall plug or extension lead. It is a good fit for students heading to res, travellers who hate packing extra chargers, and home offices that want to cut down on cable clutter.
Travel Size
The PowerMaxx is small and light, with a clean and simple finish. It fits easily into the front pocket of a laptop bag and weighs far less than the chunky charger that came with your old notebook.
One Plug for Phone and Laptop
Charge your laptop during the day, then use the same charger for your phone at night. One plug is simpler to carry and easier to keep track of.
For the best results, use a good USB-C cable that is rated for the power you need. A 60W cable is fine for phones and tablets, but for laptops a 100W cable gives you more headroom. The charger talks to each device and only sends as much power as it can safely accept, so it will not harm a phone that charges at a lower speed. Larger gaming laptops and workstations often need more than 70W and may charge slowly or only while switched off. Check your laptop's original charger rating if you are unsure, or give us a call on 021 555 0142.
Charging speed also depends on battery level. Phones and laptops draw the most power when they are nearly empty and slow down as they get close to full, which helps protect the battery. This is normal behaviour and not a fault with the charger.
Use the charger on a surge protected plug where possible, especially when the power comes back on after a round of load-shedding.
It arrives new and sealed with a full SA warranty, plus our 30-day return policy on any unopened items.
