What full-grain leather actually means
Full-grain is the outer layer of the hide with nothing sanded off it. You can see the grain, the odd scar, sometimes a stretch mark. Those are not flaws, they are the reason it wears well: the tight fibres near the surface are the strongest part of the skin. Corrected leather has that layer buffed away and a print pressed on top.
It looks flawless in the shop and tired within a year. We pick hides at the tannery ourselves and take the marks that come with them.
