How to Study Faster and Remember More

Marks go up when you study in short, focused blocks. Try 25 minutes of work, then a five minute break. Put your phone in another room. Do this three times and you will remember far more than after one long evening.
After each block, close your book and write down what you can recall. Check what you missed and go back to it tomorrow. Megan Fourie calls this the best habit a learner can build before exams.
Study a little every day and you will not need to panic the night before the paper. Megan Fourie, Study Skills CoachSleep matters too. A tired brain forgets quickly. Go to bed on time, drink water and eat breakfast on exam mornings.
Space out your revision
Look at a topic today, again in three days and again next week. Each return makes it stick a little more. Use a simple wall planner to mark when each subject comes back, and tick it off as you go.
Test yourself, do not just reread
Rereading feels easy but teaches little. Use flashcards, past paper questions or ask a parent to quiz you. Wrong answers are useful. They show you exactly where to spend your next study hour.

Clear and practical article. I shared it with my Grade 11 class group and we are already trying the revision timetable ideas before the November exams.
