Falling behind in an online Maths course is easy when nobody sits next to you. Set fixed times for lessons, just like school periods. Choose a quiet spot at home and keep your calculator and a clean notebook ready.
Do the practice questions straight after each video. If you get stuck, write down the question and send it to your tutor the same day. Pieter van der Merwe answers learner questions every evening.
Maths is learned with a pencil in your hand, not by watching someone else write. Pieter van der Merwe, Mathematics TutorFinish each week by redoing the questions you got wrong. Small steps add up quickly.
Keep a weekly routine
Choose three or four fixed evenings for your online lessons and tell the family. A routine makes it easier to say no to distractions. Data costs add up, so download videos on Wi-Fi where you can.
Ask for help early
Small gaps in algebra or geometry grow into big problems later. Message your tutor as soon as something feels unclear. Our online team replies within a day, and many questions need only a quick worked example.

Clear and practical article. I shared it with my Grade 11 class group and we are already trying the revision timetable ideas before the November exams.
