Build a daily reading habit

Fifteen minutes a day beats a long session on Sunday night. Read news articles, study guides and textbook chapters, then note down five new words. Say them aloud so they feel natural when you use them in class.

Get feedback early

Send a short paragraph to your lecturer or visit the writing support desk on our Hatfield campus. Small corrections in week one save you marks in your first assignment and give you confidence to speak.
