A Guide for HR Managers Booking Team Training

Booking training for a team is easier when you start with the problem, not the course. Ask what the team struggles with today. Is it sales calls, difficult customers or tired managers? Then pick a course that fixes that one thing.
Check the practical details early: dates, venue, group size and whether the training counts towards your SETA claim or B-BBEE scorecard.
Good training starts with a clear question from the manager who sends the team. Sipho Ndlovu, Managing DirectorTalk to Nomvula Dlamini in our training office before you book. She can match your budget and your team’s diary to the right course.
Agree the goal before you book
Write down what should change after the training. It might be fewer customer complaints, shorter sales cycles or calmer meetings. Share that goal with the facilitator so the day is built around it, not around a standard slide deck.
Follow up after the course
Learning fades fast without practice. Book a short check-in four weeks later. Ask each person to share one thing they now do differently at work. Small habits are what improve results over time.
