Not every skill needs a big budget. Many South African teams can start with free short courses and webinars, then add paid training where it matters most.
We run free webinars on topics like business writing and basic Microsoft Teams use. Pick one topic and set a clear goal.
A free course works when someone asks the team what they will do differently. Nomvula DlaminiChoose short courses of one to two hours. Block the time in the diary. Ask each person to share one thing they learned at the next team meeting.
Where to find good free options
Start with our free webinars, then check what your SETA offers. Many industry bodies also run short sessions on legal basics and workplace safety. Keep a simple list so nobody repeats the same course.
When to pay for more
Free courses cover the basics well. If your team needs hands-on practice, such as handling difficult customers, a paid course with a trainer and feedback is usually worth the cost.
