Most people who join FiksFabriek in Bellville are not athletes. They are teachers, admin staff and parents who sit for most of the day and want to feel stronger. We start with three simple things: walk more, lift something light twice a week, and sleep properly.
You do not need a big plan on day one. A short session before school or work is enough to build the habit.
Show up for ten minutes on the days you feel tired. Those are the sessions that build the habit. Thabo Mokoena, Head CoachIf you are unsure where to begin, pop in at 21 Voortrekker Road and chat to our team. We will help you pick a routine that suits your week and your fitness level.
How to build strength at a desk job
Long hours sitting tighten the hips and weaken the back. Add two short strength sessions a week with squats, rows and planks. Stand up every hour and stretch your hip flexors. Small changes done often work better than one hard session on a Saturday.
The positive power of regular training
Members tell us they sleep better, have more energy in the afternoon and feel calmer after a few weeks. Start light, keep your form clean and add weight slowly. Our coaches will check your technique so you stay safe and keep progressing.
